My feelings about 'United 93'

September 11, 2001
Four Planes were hijacked
Three of them reached their target.

This 'United 93' is not just a story of another plane, it is a story of all the passengers ,the crew and the hijackers -the dawning horror , suffering and tension they faced....

"Having a blog of my own, wherein I could express all my feelings with no barriers", remained a dream to me until this night when I watched this great movie... 'UNITED 93'..
The only reason I could attribute for this delay is "LAZINESS"....
Even today , began no different. I started the day pretty early and asusual spent most of it in the lab and in the evening I went for this film 'UNITED93'. I need to admit before I write anything more that I am not an avid viewer of english movies..
This is the first time I am posting any of my feelings online. Well all thanks to my friend Arun and the great director 'Paul Greengrass'. Before I went to this movie I read some positive reviews and also some negative reviews about this movie. After I returned from the movie, I felt greatly touched by the movie and for the first time I felt inspired to post a critique about this movie. I wanted to contribute my best to neutralize the negative critiques and encourage people to watch this sensible, sensitive, thought provocating movie. So I wrote a critique and posted it and that gave me the inspiration to write what you are reading now..'MY BLOG- TWEETY SPEAKS '.

My thoughts about 'United 93'.

A very realistic, simple and straight forward movie. I would say it is a reality projected on a 70mm screen. It is bound to arouse many questions in mind.
I liked the effort the director and all the actors took at every moment , to generate the real situation. I felt greatly touched by it, but I could not find atleast one good or justifable reason for
  • why did the passengers and their families have to undergo all the pain and suffering
  • Why were the crew so brutally stabbed with a 'pen knife'?
  • Why had the hijackers had to go through all the tension
  • Why did everyone die ?
  • WHAT DID ANYONE ACHIEVE OUT OF THIS ?
Is it all for MONEY /POWER/ REVENGE.........
I could not find an answer to this....and I think many of us donot too...I doubt even if the people involved knew it...
And if the end result is 'NOTHING' but disaster why are we allowing this to happen? We normally donot want to strain ourselves unless and until we gain some profit out of it. But here, we are taking all this pain and suffering for nothing. We or any of our close relatives may not have been on that plane that day, but there is no gaurantee that such a situation doesnot arise inthe near future? What could be our contribution to avoid such a situation? Can't 'WE' as a community do something about it?

I appreciate this movie since it gave me scope for all these thoughts. It made me understand my responsibilities as a part of this community . "I felt , I would do my best, atleast not to be a source of trouble or suffering to any of my community members" . I would think it to be a small tribute that I could pay for all the lives that were lost fighting this battle. I would also like to appreciate the movie for projecting the importance of courageously standing to give the best of our lives even in the greatest hour of peril. I respect "
the brave airborne innocents who stood up to save the lives of others on the ground. May they inspire us to courageously & aggressively live our best lives. "

This is 'THE' movie that has aroused in me all these ideas and made me a think and realize all this. This will definetly help me and many others to live a better and happy life...
"It has the exacting detail to the responsibilities the film carries as its basic requirement."
Hence it is a great movie...
Hence proved...:) Too much of mathematics theorems...:)

Thanks for your patience inreading this and if you find some time do post some comments (Prefarably positive, jus kidding) . I promise to get inspired by them and post a few more posts in this blog and not wait for another inspiring 'Paul Greengrass' movie.
